House rules

Active movement assessment
Every initial visit begins with 10 minutes of standing, reaching, and gait assessment. We trace compensatory movement habits so we treat the cause, not just where it aches.
Silent appointments welcomed
If you prefer minimal conversation, select 'silent appointment' when booking or mention it on arrival. Elena will explain what she is doing and then leave you to rest in silence.
Studio standards & linens
Fresh unbleached organic cotton linens per client, adjustable heated treatment table, scent-free room, and hypoallergenic grapeseed oil. You remain draped throughout.
Illness policy
If you wake up feeling unwell, please stay home and rest. We waive short-notice cancellation fees for sickness so you never feel pressured to attend while unwell.

Asked at the counter

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable underwear or loose running shorts for the movement assessment. You will be fully draped with warm towels during treatment.

Is this a gentle spa massage or deep tissue?

It is remedial clinical bodywork. Pressure is firm and calibrated to your feedback, but never pushed past the point where you brace or hold your breath.

Is there parking near the studio?

Hebden Bridge station car park is an 8-minute walk away, and there is pay-and-display parking on New Road just across the bridge. The studio is completely step-free from street level.
