Service Breakdown · Physical Infrastructure
"Tap & Scan" countertop stands that bridge till to booking.
A good booking page only works if regular customers can reach it in two seconds while standing at your counter or sitting in the chair. We supply wipe-clean optical-gloss acrylic stands with embedded NFC and high-density vector QR codes, routed through managed edge subdomains.
What goes on your counter
- Molded 13.56 MHz NTAG215 NFC acrylic: Gloss white or black L-shaped acrylic blanks with an embedded NTAG215 chip that responds immediately when a customer taps their phone near the stand.
- Optical-grade clear PET film ("Invisible Gloss"): Printed at 300 DPI onto 53mm transparent optical PET film—never paper thermal stickers that soak up barber oils, massage lotions, or coffee spills.
- Permanently locked tags: Every NTAG215 chip is write-locked on-site after programming so no passer-by can overwrite the destination URL.
- Assembled on-site in under 3 minutes: Generated, printed, pressed squarely onto the acrylic, programmed, and tested on your counter during handover.
Why we route through the edge
- Never hard-code raw destination URLs: If you print a third-party calendar link directly onto a stand and change booking software six months later, the stand goes in the bin.
- Agency-managed subdomains: Every stand points to
go.yourdomain.co.uk/bookorgo.yourdomain.co.uk/reviewvia Cloudflare Workers. - Instant destination updates: Need to switch from a summer walk-in queue to winter appointment slots, or update your Google review link? We update the edge route remotely in seconds; the physical stand on your till never changes.
- Sub-50ms edge redirects: Hosted on Cloudflare's Anycast network as part of your £29/month managed retainer.
Unit & bundle pricing
- 1x "Tap & Scan" Stand — £20: Single L-shaped countertop stand for the till or reception desk.
- 2x Stand Bundle — £30: Counter stand (`go.yourdomain.co.uk/book`) plus Waiting Area or Mirror stand (`/review` or `/services`).
- Additional Stations — £5 each: Extra programmed NFC/QR tags for individual barber chairs, beauty stations, or trade vans.
What we deliberately reject
- Paper stickers: Standard thermal paper turns grey under heat, peels at the corners, and absorbs shop fluids within a week.
- Ridged 3D-printed stands: Layer lines trap dust and hair, take hours to print, and look homemade on a clean counter.
- On-site laser engraving: Cutting or engraving acrylic indoors releases toxic PMMA fumes and requires heavy extraction.
