- Once access, parking distance, and inventory are agreed, our written quote is fixed. We do not add stair fees, fuel surcharges, or key-waiting penalties on the day unless the scope fundamentally changes.
- Vehicle and load protection
- Our Luton van is swept clean after every run. Every piece of polished timber, upholstery, and glass is wrapped in 400gsm quilted furniture blankets and secured with wide ratchet webbing against internal tie-rails.
- Parking & access planning
- Pennine hills and terraced streets have steep pitches, tight stone corners, and restricted parking. If a council parking bay suspension or loading permit is needed, we calculate the required notice period and advise early.
Our moving process
- Inventory & access audit You tell us room counts, floors, walking distance from door to van, and any awkward pieces like pianos or corner sofas.
- Fixed written quotation We confirm date availability and issue a binding fixed-price quote covering van, fuel, and two movers.
- Moving day loading Floors are protected with heavy neoprene runners, and items are wrapped and strapped in order of priority.
- Unloading into named rooms Every box and furniture piece is placed in the designated room at your destination, not dumped in the hallway.

What happens if key release is delayed on completion day?
We allow a standard 90-minute completion waiting buffer in all full-day house moves. If solicitors delay keys past 15:00, we communicate plainly with you rather than threatening to unload your possessions into a depot.
Do you move upright pianos up stairs?
Ground-floor moves and moves with standard stone steps are handled regularly using our heavy-duty piano dolly and skid board. If spiral or narrow stairs are involved, Pete surveys photos of the staircase before confirming.
Will the Luton van fit down steep Pennine access lanes?
A 3.5t Luton has a 2.1-metre width and 3.2-metre height clearance. We check Google Street View and satellite imagery for overhanging trees, stone bridges, and gate widths before booking.
Do you supply wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes?
Yes, each van carries four reusable heavy-gauge cardboard wardrobe boxes with metal hanger rails for use on the move day.
